On the 10th, the 18th China (Changchun) International Auto Expo, Changchun International Automobile Culture Festival and the 3rd Hongqi Carnival opened at Changchun International Conference and Exhibition Center. Zhang Zhijun, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Zilian, Acting Mayor, together with Shen Jinjun, President of China Automobile Dealers Association and Qiu Xiandong, General Manager of China FAW Group Co., Ltd., launched the opening button.
In his speech, Wang Zilian, on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, welcomed guests from all walks of life and expressed gratitude to those who have long cared for and supported Changchun’s automobile industry and its revitalization and development. Wang emphasized that Changchun is the “cradle” of China's automobile industry. After 18 and 22 years of development, Changchun International Auto Expo has become an important window to show the profound accumulation and cultural heritage of Changchun's automobile industry, and an important platform for domestic and foreign automobile enterprises to display their brands, trade their products, share information and cooperate for win-win. This year's Changchun Auto Expo will be opened simultaneously with the Automobile Culture Festival and the Hongqi Carnival. It will focus on displaying the intelligent network, new energy vehicles, new products and new technologies, as well as the new image and achievements of the "Hongqi" in leading the rise of the national auto industry. As the mainstay of Changchun's industry, in recent years, FAW Group has devoted itself to revitalizing national brands, gathering potential and energizing, striving for innovation and showing a strong development trend. We will, as always, give our full support to the reform and development of FAW and the construction of the “Hongqi” brand, take FAW's construction of a world-class enterprise and Changchun's construction of a world-class automobile city as the guide, seize the development opportunities of electrification, networking, intelligence and sharing of the automobile industry, comprehensively promote the “six returns”, and work with FAW to speed up the creation of a trillion-dollar automobile industry cluster, so as to promote the all-round revitalization of Changchun in the new era.
At the opening ceremony, Shen Jinjun, President of China Automobile Dealers Association, and Qiu Xiandong, General Manager of FAW Group delivered speeches respectively.
Wang Changjiu, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary General, and Lei Ping, Deputy General Manager of FAW Group, jointly launched the “Smart Hongqi City” Phase 2 project. Wang Haiying, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, and Liu Yigong, Deputy General Manager of FAW Group, jointly started the "Hongqi" classic car parade.
After the opening ceremony, the leading guests visited the Exhibition Hall of the 18th China (Changchun) International Auto Expo.
